[Tutorial] Downgrade your Psp Go/Psp-3000 OFW 6.35/6.31 to OFW 6.20

Disclaimer: Updating/Downgrading your firmware may cause a "brick" to your unit; Before you start downgrading your unit, always ask yourself if you really need to downgrade and why. I will not be held responsible for any damage or harm done to your unit by using the software provided and downloaded using this guide. This guide is tested using my psp-go (05g) and may work with psp-3000. follow the steps carefully.

6.35/6.31 -> 6.20 Downgrader By Davee

[What does it do?]
Allows users who are incontent with their firmware to downgrade to 6.20 using the Sony Updater.

[How do I use it?]
Copy the "PSP" folder to your PSP. The downgrader is "signed" and can be launched from OFW XMB. You need to copy the 6.20 update to PSP/GAME/UPDATE/EBOOT.PBP and for PSPgo it must be the eflash it is placed on. After setup run the downgrader and follow the onscreen instructions.

[What does it technically do?]
It uses the utility/power exploit to gain kernel access and reboots into the updater with a special PRX running. This PRX uses the pspdecrypt functionality to decrypt the updater PRX when needed. This allows the updater to boot in the newer firmwares.

Steps:
1. Download Davee 6.35/6.31 Downgrader To 6.20, copy both "PSP and SRC folders" to your memstick root.
For Psp Go users: copy both "PSP and SRC folders" to your internal memory directory root (ef0:/).

2. Select the appropriate 6.20 official firmware to download:
Download OFW 6.20 for Psp-2000/3000
Download OFW 6.20 for Psp Go

3. After you downloaded your OFW 6.20 updater; copy the "UPDATE" folder to your E:/PSP/GAME folder.
For Psp Go users: copy the "UPDATE" folder to your ef0:/PSP/GAME folder.

4. Make sure that your psp has at least 90% battery charge. Run Davee's downgrader, press X to proceed and wait until it verifies your OFW 6.20 updater installed in your GAME folder and your psp should takes a few seconds and it will load Sony's 6.20 updater.

5. Proceed with the 6.20 update and wait until it finishes. your psp will restart after the after the update and may start with a "BLUE warning message" press circle to fix this problem.

6. Congrats!!! you've successfully downgraded your Psp-3000/Psp Go back to OFW 6.20.

Ultrasn0w 1.2.2 Released + PwnageTool 4.3.2 (iOS 4.3.2 untether)

The iPhone Dev team has just released PwnageTool 4.3.2 which adds support for iOS 4.3.2. The jailbreak uses i0n1c's untether, which Apple did not fix in 4.3.2. Ultrasn0w has also been updated to 1.2.2 adding support for the new firmware.

Update #3: PwnageTool 4.3.2 now includes the iOS 4.3.2 untether from @i0n1c. (And look, the PwnageTool and iOS version numbers actually match!).

Note that there’s a corresponding update to ultrasn0w, which has been bumped up to v1.2.2 to get along with iOS 4.3.2 (the ultrasn0w update does not include any new baseband support!). Please reboot your iPhone using the normal “slide to power off” swipe after installing ultrasn0w 1.2.2.

CutYourSim Cancels iPhone Unlock Service

CutYourSim, has discontinued its 'legit' iPhone unlock service after being informed that its suppliers were no longer able to perform any additional unlocks.

"Unfortunately, we were not able to complete the rest of the unlocks waiting in our queue due to our suppliers being unable to offer the service anymore," CutYourSim told Cult of Mac. "Our suppliers have told us that there is a possibility that the service may return, but they do not know when, so we have decided to start processing refunds for any orders that we were not able to complete."

CutYourSim managed to find someone to whitelist IMEIs the same way a 'legit' unlock by Apple would be performed. It's thought that Apple managed to figure out how these IMEIs were being whitelisted and put an end to the practice.

"To tell you the truth, first our supplier told us there were server issues, then after that they just told us that they will not be offering the service anymore. We are not sure where the service comes from, or whether it’s a contact through AT&T or Apple. We do know that the service is performed in the UK, but that’s about it."

Download Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 (DEB File) to Unlock iPhone 4/3GS on iOS 4.3.1 Offline

iPhone Dev-Team has finally released Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 which can unlock iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS on iOS 4.3.1 running old basebands. If for some reason you do not have an active WiFi connection, you can always unlock your iPhone offline by installing Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 DEB file. This is a simple two-step process which you can accomplish either by SSH'ing (Win | Mac) into your iPhone or by using iPhone Explorer (Without SSH).

Steps to Install Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 on Your iPhone 4/3GS Offline:

 NOTE: If you have already installed Ultrasn0w 1.2 on your iPhone, first uninstall it by  navigating to Cydia->Manage->Packages->Ultrasn0w->Modify and select Remove option.

Step 1: Download Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 DEB file

7.Press X (now there's a warning, ignore it, but you can backup the file if you want for safety reasons




To avoid bricks you can press X again instead of O.

The original flash0: / vsh / module / vshmain.prx was now backed up to ms0:/ or ef0: / vshorig.prx.

Keep this file for safety reasons, if you'll have a brick you can use that file to recover your psp!

Then you are in 6.20 PRO-B5 Permanent Test-Mode.

Launch the 6.20PRO-Before Permanent Installer again, press X and then O.

The patch was now completely installed and the flash0: / vsh / module / vshorig.prx was renamed to vshmain.prx!




8. Congrats...now you're on 6.20 PRO-B5 Permanent, enjoy it .

Resurrecting Samsung S109 is simple. Phone is auto powered on with charger connected; battery presence is not required.
Resurrector re-flashes only firmware zone of the phone (0×000000 to 0x3FFFFF).


To resurrect Samsung S109:

• Solder JTAG cable to Samsung S109 JTAG pads;
• Connect ignition cable for auto power on or use battery;
• Make sure Samsung S109 is selected in the list of models;
• Click Resurrect button;
• Wait till software signals a successful operation completion;
• De-solder JTAG wires;

• “RUN/STOP” Loaders functionality is added (and alternative to the DCC Loaders)

This is required for some ARM7 cores when Debug Communication Channel (DCC) to/from core is not functional (like in MSM6000)


Firmware 1.23

• Added 8/16/32-bit bus read/write access rotuines for ARM7 core
• ARM7 debug is now available in ARM/Thumb modes (use the GDBServer for this);

Please click “Check For Updates” button in order to download and apply new files. Closing all running application before starting update process is recommended.

Only a few weeks after the 4.3.1 untether created by @i0n1c was released, Apple pushed out firmware 4.3.2. Thankfully, it appears Apple didn’t have a chance to fix the hole used by @i0n1c’s untether, so he ported his code over to 4.3.2’s kernel. Today’s redsn0w has been updated to include it.

The 4.3.2 untether works on all devices that actually support 4.3.2 except for the iPad2:

• iPhone3GS
• iPhone4 (GSM)
• iPod touch 3G
• iPod touch 4G
• iPad1

iH8sn0w, the developer behind Sn0wbreeze jailbreak tool has released an updated version Sn0wbreeze 2.6. The new software supports untethered iOS 4.3.2 jailbreak on iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch on Windows operating system. Remember it uses the same exploit developed by Stefan Esser.
